3 Things I Would Do Today If I Wanted to Quantum Leap Tomorrow
You leap. I leap. We all scream for ice cream quantum leaps.
I had a client recently ask me, “What is a quantum leap?”
I laughed because 1) I adore her, and 2) I can’t believe I just ramble off phrases like “quantum mechanics,” “time doesn’t exist,” and “did you see what the Etsy witches did?!” as a standard part of my dialogue now.
I explained it like this: a quantum leap is the way in which you collapse time. It’s cutting down on the linear, second-by-second time it takes for you to learn the right lessons and shift your beliefs to get something you want.
Let’s say today you decide you’re going to find your soulmate once and for all. You figure if you’re diligent about staying positive, taking care of yourself, and meeting new people, you’ll probably find the right person…..monday-one-day, tuesday-two-day….. in a year or two.
Quantum leaping happens when you take all the lessons you’d normally learn about yourself, what you want, who you don’t want, what limiting beliefs you still have, and what bad habits you need to release and integrate them. You start to think new thoughts, act in new ways, and align with someone who already has a soulmate.
When you quantum leap, you’re not doing more labor, speed dating, or adding therapy to be tri-weekly. There’s no hustle in the leap. We are anti-hustle, ok?
You’re doing the energetic work to become the accumulation of lessons learned. In this way, you cut down on the time it takes to “find” your soulmate because you’re no longer searching, you’re magnetizing.
Put more simply, a quantum leap is skipping some of the grunt work it takes to get the thing you want and using who you are to magnetize that thing to you.
Here’s the fun part: any interruption to your familiar, sleepy day, the little “autopilot” moments—is a micro-quantum leap. When you veer off your comfort-zone path and take inspired action in a new direction, you shift your timeline.
If you wake up and skip breakfast every day even though you know you need extra protein… but today you wake up and have one egg, that’s a leap. Small but valuable.
Another leap might be waking up and saying, “Even though I should pay off all my credit cards first, I’m going to find the money to hire a personal trainer to keep me accountable on my journey.” That’s quite the leap! You go, Glen CoCo!
So, what would I do if I wanted to quantum leap tomorrow but I’m overwhelmed with where to start? Because let’s be real, information overload is a thing, and many of us are stuck in functional freeze.
Here are 3 simple activities to dip your toe into manifesting your next big thing.
P.S. manifesting = magnetizing. Manifesting doesn’t mean stuff happens out of thin air. It’s real work, ppl! Unless you’re a witch. Then it’s slightly less work and more of a flick of the wrist.
1. Ask Yourself: What Is the Outcome of the Thing I Want So Badly?
Pick one thing you want so badly right now. The first thing that comes to mind.
More money? To quit your job? A divorce? More clients? A new car?Now ask yourself: What does having that thing get me?
What’s the thing that comes after that thing? How many times can I write the word “thing” in a blog?I want you to think past the survival answers like “money = safety.”
Take a huge, deep breath and tune inward. What’s the outcome—the extra—the “holy shit, I can’t believe this is mine” feeling that comes with it?When I have more money → I get luxury travel. (Yes, I’ll have some peanuts with a side of diamonds… and a Coke Zero.)
When I get a divorce → I gain health and longevity. (Marrying late never killed a woman, but marrying the wrong man did.)
When I find my soulmate → I look forward to having kids. (Can’t relate but I know many people want a mini-me spawn! Love that for them.)
Ok but Paris, that’s like… skipping so many steps. Yeah. That’s the point.
You’ve heard it before: to get what you want, you have to become the version of yourself who already has it.
But when you’re stuck obsessing over how to get more money, or how to find an attorney, or how to meet a man with high EQ who also wants to pamper the hell out of you and looks good in a suit…you limit yourself and the power of the Universe.
The Universe doesn’t want to be micro-managed by you and your thoughts. It needs to you allow room for synchronicities and opportunities YOU could never plan or orchestrate on your own.
The universe is your Project Manager—it’s working with your 6 thousand thoughts and 8 billion other people’s to play matchmaker.
When you try to zero in on how you’ll make it happen, you’re actually making life harder. You’re limiting your thoughts and you’re going to drive yourself insane.
Help the PM help you.
Your job is to live in the vibration of believing the thing you want exists, believing you deserve it, and taking inspired action toward it.
One fun way to get into that vibration without losing your mind over “how” is to skip over it entirely and focus on the next thing. Whatever thing excites you, brings you peace of mind or feels like your version of success. Whatever makes you say, “Yeah, I’m winning at life.”
I did this during my divorce.
Once I realized the light had gone out in my marriage, I felt utterly out of control. I had no idea how to get a lawyer, (let alone how to pay for one) how to utter the words, or how to find a new place to live.
The to-do list was too long. So I skipped the how’s for a while and focused on the outcome of a divorce.
I asked myself: If I were Paris five years from now, divorced, living free, what else would I have that I desperately want right now?
The first thing that came to mind was energy—I would feel vibrant and alive. I literally pictured myself running through a field of sunflowers. Running. Running. Running.
After talking with my coach, this vision evolved into something even better. A single word that encapsulated what I deeply longed for, especially after watching my Mom whither away without it.
Longevity.
My soul had been shaking under the weight of unfulfilled promises. I was fatigued. My stomach hurt constantly. The migraines were debilitating.
So that became my leap—the version of me who felt, in her bones, that she was standing tall, mind-body-soul completely nourished and thriving.
Decide. What is your leap after the leap? You’re at point A, looking towards point B. But I want to know what is at point C! Because if you have arrived at C, then you automatically get B. It’s a two for one deal. It’s the law. It’s math.
2. Play With Your Outcome
Talk about it. Make a mood board. Invest in something that supports it. Live in the frequency of that next-level version of yourself.
For me, I started a Pinterest board filled with all things longevity.
I was already going to the gym more frequently, but this amped me up.
I bought kickback straps, a new workout set, and finally googled air fryer recipes.
I found and charged my WHOOP after ignoring it for a year.
I changed the narrative about myself: I am someone who prioritizes my health.
I signed up for a friggin marathon. Yeah. The girl who clutched her inhaler every PE class and got a doctor’s note to opt out of running the mile… Talk about building an entirely new identity!
But the real magic happened when something threatened my new identity of longevity.
There came a situation where I would’ve typically buried myself in work or took to my journal to just bitch about it. Devastated by the words exchanged. The passive-aggressive energy of a room.
Instead, I went for a walk.
Revolutionary? No. But the marathon was approaching (that I never actually ran, LOL), and I thought, Well… Longevity Paris needs to get her steps in.
That walk cracked something open. I cried, like, ugly cried, but it moved the energy that had been stagnant for months. And in that moment, the universe sent a life boat: one of my best friends called me out of nowhere. As I picked up, a butterfly flew by.
A sign: I’m on the right path. It’s ok to tell her about my heartbreak.
That friend encouraged me to confide in more local friend someone I never planned to tell yet. (Because why start a ruckus?? #GoodGirlSyndrome)
But this girl, showed up and showed outttt for me in ways that changed everything. She became the catalyst for taking real action in the direction of divorce. So even if it doesn’t make sense how focusing on something different could lead you to what you really want, trust that it’s in service of becoming a new version of you.
It’s altering the course of your life.
It’s changing your literal DNA.
It’s sending a new signal to the universe.
It’s a chain reaction that begins the moment you start showing up like future future you.
Other examples:
More money → Luxury Travel → Curate a list of your dream travel bags, put them on your wishlist, ask friends who’d go to Hawaii with you in 2028, and research the best luxury travel credit cards.
Soulmate → Kids → Obsess over the little ones in your life, volunteer to tutor, make a Pinterest board for your dream nursery, or buy baby shoes and keep them in a box under your bed.
Momentum in this way is magnetic. The goal is to get you moving in the direction of the future. Any movement at all is a leap.
3. Use Your Human Design Strategy to Magnetize
In Human Design, your strategy is how you call opportunities in—rather than chase them.
You can find out your strategy for free on my website!
If the thing you want most is a partner, but you feel awkward about using your strategy “to inform” everyone that you’ll have a boyfriend by Christmas in the name of radical manifestation… don’t.
Instead, talk about how you imagine showing up as a parent.
How your partner might parent?
What you’d name your kids?
What kind of support you’ll need from your family when you or your partner get pregnant, adopt, or go through IVF?
Ask other parents you know how they manage finances of kiddos?
Talk about future-future you. Ask questions, future-future you would ask. You don’t need to obsess over how to become this version of yourself. The how is literally none of your business. Your job is to move. To suspend disbelief. To go feral for things that light you up and let your community, the universe, and energy do the heavy lifting.
Trust that any action in the direction of your dreams is leaps and bounds in the quantum realm.
